Pop. 99,825. City in the Reg. Mun. of Waterloo on the Grand R. and Hwys 8 & 24, 14 km SE of Kitchener.
. Cambridge was formed in 1973 by the amalgamation of the city of Galt in North Dumfries T. and the towns of Hespeler and Preston in Waterloo T.
Cambridge is named after an earlier settlement, itself named after the Duke of Cambridge, son of George III. (See entries under Galt, Bespeler, Preston.)
