Pop. 427. In Hagerman T., Parry Sound Dist. on Whitestone L. and Hwy 124,39 km NE of Parry Sound.
The community was on maps in 1879 as Newcomb or Newcombe. When the post office opened in 1881, Mr. and Mrs. George Kelcey, the postmasters, discovered there was another Newcombe in Upper Canada.
The villagers agreed to change the name to Dunchurch after the Kelcey's hometown near Rugby in Warwickshire, England
