Pop. 267. In Puslinch T., Wellington C., at Hwy 6 and C. Rd. 36,1 km. S ofHwy 401,16 km. SE of Guelph.
In 1847 Mr. R. B. Morriston opened a store in one end of his blacksmith shop and two years later built a frame store on the east side of the road. Shortly after the opening his new store, the community that had been called Puslinch, after the township,
Puslinch was named in 1835 after the birthplace in Devon, England, of Elizabeth Yonge, wife of Sir John Colborne, Lt.-Gov. of Upper Canada 1828-1836.
