Pop. 253. In Wilson T., Parry Sound Dist. on Wauquimakog L. and Hwy 522, 1 km. S of Loring, 60 km. SW of Trout Creek which is 41 km. S of North Bay.
The community was named in 1884 by Muskoka MP William O'Brien, after his wife Elizabeth, whose maiden name was Loring.
