Pop. 71. In Frontenac C., on C. Rds. 11 & 12, 17 km NE of Kingston. The community was first called Spooner's Corners after settler Simeo Spooner.
In 1864 it was renamed, likely by Sir Henry Smith, member of th Legislative Assembly of the province of Canada for Frontenac (1841-61) after a place in Surrey, England.

I grew up in Sunbury & loved the country life! We moved to Kingston and I wasn't too happy! I love the 2 lil stores out there =) I still have family that live there. Such memories!
